You can put this solution on YOUR website!
square root of x+6=x?
sqrt(x+6) = x
Square both sides:
x+6 = x^2
Rearrange:
x^2-x-6 = 0
Factor:
(x-3)(x+2) = 0
---
x = 3 or x = -2
---
Acceptable solution because sqrt(x+6) must be positive:
x = 3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
square root of x+6=x?
sqrt%28x%2B6%29+=+x
Square both sides:
x%2B6+=+x%5E2
x^2-x-6 = 0
(x-3)(x+2) = 0
---
x = 3, x = -2
---
Check:
x = 3
sqrt%289%29+=+3 Is true
------------------
x = -2
sqrt%284%29+=+-2 Is true
