When the exponents are fractions like: x^(1/2) = sqrt%28x%29 for example

A radical can be expressed as an exponent and then treated the same:
sqrt%28x%29=x%5E%281%2F2%29
x%5E2%2Ax%5E3+=+x%5E%282%2B3%29+=+x%5E5
sqrt%28x%29%2Asqrt%28x%29+=+x+=+x%5E%281%2F2%29%2Ax%5E%281%2F2%29+=+x%5E%281%2F2%2B1%2F2%29
