Question 250959: I have 2 math problems that I am stuck on. I would appreciate any help available. Thank you!!!
Simplify by removing factors of 1 (for both problems).
m^2 - 49 /(m+7)^2
and
6q^2 + 6q / 30q^2 + 36q

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify by removing factors of 1 (for both problems).
m^2 - 49 /(m+7)^2
=[(m-7)(m+7)]/[(m+7)(m+7)]
Cancel the common factor (m+7) to get:
= (m-7)/(m+7)
===========================
and
6q^2 + 6q / 30q^2 + 36q
= [6q(q+1)] / [6q(5q+6)]
Cancel the common factor 6q to get:
= (q+1)/(5q+6)
====================
