You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
squaring ___ 3x - 5 = 49 - 14 sqrt(x+2) + x + 2
subtracting x+51 ___ 2x - 56 = -14 sqrt(x+2)
squaring ___ 4x^2 - 224x + 56^2 = 196x + 392
dividing by 4 ___ x^2 - 56x + 28^2 = 49x + 98
subtracting 49x+98 ___ x^2 - 105x + 686 = 0
factoring ___ (x - 98)(x - 7) = 0
x - 98 = 0 ___ x = 98
x - 7 = 0 ___ x = 7
checking the results shows that only 7 is an actual solution
___ this situation frequently happens when multiple squaring operations take place
