You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First I would find area of her kitchen.
Area= Length x Width
A=LxW
So for her kitchen it measure 12 feet by 15 feet.
A= LxW
= 12x15
= 180 feet squared
Now the question tells us that the area of her bathroom is only a quarter of the kitchen's area. one quarter = 1/4 or .25
We must now multiply the Kitchen's area by .25 to find the bathrooms area
Bathroom's area = kitchen area x .25
= 180 feet x .25
= 45 feet squared
This tells us the area of the bathroom now is 45 feet squared and we also know that the bathroom is a rectangle.
Now we must find 2 numbers that multiply together to give us 45 feet squared.
9x5
15x3
The question doesn't give you one of the sides so these are the possible answers.
Make sure from the question you write down what you know first and work it out step by step.
