You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt%285-x%29+-+4+=+6
:
Add 4 to both sides:
sqrt%285-x%29+=+6+%2B+4
sqrt%285-x%29+=+10
:
Square both sides and you have:
(5 - x) = 10^2
5 - x = 100
-x = 100 - 5
-x = 95
:
x has to be positive, multiply equation by -1 and you have:
x = -95
:
:
Check solution in original equation:
sqrt%285-%28-95%29%29+-+4+=+6
sqrt%285+%2B+95%29+-+4+=+6; remember minus a minus is a plus
sqrt%28100%29+-+4+=+6
10 - 4 = 6; confirms our solution
