6+(sqrt(36-4*1*10))/2
6+(sqrt(-40+36))/2
6+(sqrt-4)/2
Now we need to get rid of the negative.
Express sqrt-4 in terms of i:
sqrt-4 = (sqrt -1)*(sqrt-4) = isqrt4
So now we have:
6+(isqrt4)/2
sqrt4 = sqrt2^2 = 2
6+(I*2)/2
the 2 on top and 2 in the denominator cancel each other, and we get:
