Question 1040626: I'm needing some help on this. I submitted earlier, but I didn't get a confirmation it went through:
I have two points end points on a circle and I need to find the diameter: (–1, 0) and (–9, –8) and I need to find the diameter.
I've come up with this, but I"m not sure if it's accurate:
√((-1-(-9) )^2+(0-(-8))^2)
8^2 + 8^2
64 + 64
128
any help is greatly appreciated!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! It is the square root of 128. The 8^2+8^2 is correct, but the distance is 8 sqrt (2), which is a simplified term for sqrt (128). This makes intuitive sense, since 8 sqrt (2) is about 11.2, which would be reasonable given the points.
