Question 110007: Ok. so this one is a graph of a positive, even parabola which means it opens up. the vertex is (-1,-2) and one of the points on the parabola is (0,-1). It's telling me to write a quadratic function in vertex form for the parabola. what is vertex form and how do i plug in the coordinates to find it? HELP PLEASE! :]

Question 112971: I am in algebra 2 and we are learning about "interperetting graphs. Equations like, "If f(x)=Xsquared the the graph of each equatrion below is a parabola. Describe the location of the parabola relative to the graph of f(x)=xsquared.... y=f(x)-3 or y=f(x-2)" im so lost, we have a sustitute because our teacher is on meternity leave on he knows nothing about anything he is teaching.
