Question 830604: First off I would like to thank you for taking your time to help me I really do appreciate it!!!
The questions is an equation
25x^2+49y^2=1225 the questions asks for what type of conic section the equation is it....than it asks for the center, vertices, covertices, foci, major and minor axis length and radius length...then it tells to graph it.
once again I really do thank you for helping me!!!

Question 830635: Hello!!! Okay so before I start I would like to say thank you first for taking your time to help me. The question that im confused on is this...
The pool on an architectural drawing is given by the equation x^2+6x+y^2+8y=0. What point on the edge of the pool is farthest from the origin?
So far I was able to complete the equation and got it to its standard form which is, I think, (x+3)^2+(y+4)^2=25. This shows that the radius is 5 units and the center is (-3,-4). The part that confuses me is the farthest point. Does this not me that the whole edge of the pool/circle is the farthest point? Or are there actual set points that is farther from the origin? Thank you!!!

Question 830830: Solve Oblique conic : 10x2 +24xy + 17 y2 -9 = 0
1) Identify the conic. Explain your reasoning.
2.) Put the equation for the conic in standard form.
3.) State the Domain and Range of the Conic
4.) Graph the conic with foci, center, vertices, directrices, and asymptotes as needed for the conic. Be sure to label each element.
