Its standard form of equation:%28x-h%29%5E2%2Fa%5E2-%28y-k%29%5E2%2Fb%5E2=1, (h,k)=center

For given equation:x^2/121-y^2/144=1
center:(0,0)
a^2=121
a=√121=11
b^2=144
b=12
vertices: (0±a,0)=(0±11,0)=(-11,0) and (11,0)
foci: c^2=a^2+b^2
c^2=121+144=265
c≈16.3
foci: (0±c,0)=(0±16.3,0)=(-16.3,0) and (16.3,0)
asymptotes: straight lines that go thru center and of the form : y=mx+b, m=slope, b=y-intercept
slopes of asymptotes=±b/a=±12/11
equation of asymptote with negative slope:
