You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Please show me the steps to graph x-2=-1/8(y-3)^2
multiply both sides by -8
-8(x-2) = (y-3)^2
-8x+16 = (y-3)^2
Find the square root of both sides
+/-sqrt%28-8x%2B16%29 = y - 3
we can arrange like this now
y = sqrt%28-8x%2B16%29+%2B+3
and
y = -sqrt%28-8x%2B16%29+%2B+3
:
Plot the y values for both equations
x | y
-------
-6 | 11
0 | 7
+2 | 3
and
x | y
-------
-6 |-5
0 |-1
+2 | 3
should look like this

Sorry I screwed this up, this last one should be right
