Question 75629: I understand the definition of a hyperbola. However, I am having a problem understanding what is being asked in the question below. What’s the best way to answer it? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regarding a hyperbola, what happens to y as x gets larger? In addition, what happens to x as y gets larger?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you're looking at the hyperbola then it's graph looks like this:
According to the graph, as x increases y decreases. As x goes on to infinity, then y will slowly approach 0. The same thing happens to x. As y increases, x decreases, and as y goes onto infinity, x approaches 0. So they have an inverse relationship. In other words, if one goes up, the other goes down and vice versa.
