Question 722455: Find and equation of the form y-k=a(x-h)^2 for the parabola that has vertex (1,-5) and contains (-4,3)
Answer by josgarithmetic(39620) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Use the given vertex in (h,k) for the equation, and the other given point; and then only the factor, "a" is unknown. You'd only need to solve for "a". In other words, you use both given points at once and just solve for "a".
