Question 55886: Can an asymptote look like a parabola?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Asymptote is not the curve it is a feature of the curve.
If a curve approaches arbitrarily close to some line
the curve is said to have an asympote at that position.
Now, can a parabola have an asymptote? The answer to
that is no. Parabolas have x values that cover the
entire x-axis or y values that cover the entire y-axis.
Hope this helps.
