I haven't "sloved" anything in a long time. It brings back memories.
x^2-y^2=4
(x-y)*(x+y)=4
It can't be solved since there are two variables (unknowns) and only one equation.
if y=0 then x=2 and x=-2
the graph is a hyperbola.
