Either the problem is not presented correctly, or it is a very uninteresting problem....

Apparently, the function f(x) is a constant k, and the x values have to be between -5 and 15, inclusive.

So pick a constant value (no restrictions) for y, then pick three random x values in the prescribed range.

(2) (0.0001, sqrt(7))
(3) (-e,sqrt(7))
