You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Write the equation of the hyperbola in standard form which has the following equation:
x^2-4x-y^2+6y=9
complete the square
(x^2-4x+4)-(y^2-6y+9)=9+4-9
(x-2)^2-(y-3)^2=4
(x-2)^2/4-(y-3)^2/4=1
This is an equation of a hyperbola with horizontal transverse axis.
Its standard form: (x-h)^2/a^2-(y-k)^2/b^2=1 (h,k)=(x,y) coordinates of center.
