Question 834089: If it has one leg of length 01 and a hypotenuse of length 8, what is the length of the other leg? Do not round.
So what I have figured out is that I'm looking for a or b. The problem would look like this 8^2-01^2=x^2. I've tried to solve it but I couldn't come up with an answer.
I tried 8^2=64 and 01^2=2 so I thought subtracting them and them trying to find what squares into 62 would work but nothing works. Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If it has one leg of length .01 and a hypotenuse of length 8, what is the length of the other leg? Do not round.
: is right
64 - .0001 = x^2
63.9999 = x^2
x =
x = 7.99999375
