Question 834089: If it has one leg of length 01 and a hypotenuse of length 8, what is the length of the other leg? Do not round.
So what I have figured out is that I'm looking for a or b. The problem would look like this 8^2-01^2=x^2. I've tried to solve it but I couldn't come up with an answer.
I tried 8^2=64 and 01^2=2 so I thought subtracting them and them trying to find what squares into 62 would work but nothing works.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If it has one leg of length .01 and a hypotenuse of length 8, what is the length of the other leg? Do not round.
:
8%5E2-.01%5E2=x%5E2 is right
64 - .0001 = x^2
63.9999 = x^2
x = sqrt%2863.9999%29
x = 7.99999375
