First we would plot these points on a graph, next plot a point which would connect the points forming a right triangle. The point I formed is E at (-7, 2).
Determine the distance between points and use this in the formula a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
ED = 6-2 = 4
EC = -7 + 1 = 6
4^2 + 6^2 = 52
sqrt%2852%29 = 2%28sqrt%2813%29%29
