You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What you have is a right triangle.
The x axis is between -2 & -8 or a distance of:
8-2=6
and a y distance of:
4-1=3
The distance between these 2 points is the hypotenuse.
(-2,-1) (-8,-4)
The formula is a^2+b^2=c^2
6^2+3^2=b^2
36+9=c^2
45=c^2
c=sqrt45
c=6.7 ans. for the distance between (-2,-1) & (-8,-4).
