d = sqrt(2a*a)
where a is the side of the square.
Squaring both sides we get

=> 9%2A9+=+2%2Aa%2Aa
=> 81+=+2%2Aa%2Aa
=> 81%2F2+=+a%2Aa
=> 40.5+=+a%2Aa
=> a+=+sqrt%2840.5%29
=> a = 6.3639
Therefore the side of the square is 6.3639 units.
