No angles given, so not any of AAA, AS, or SSA;

Only side lengths are shown. Maybe then, SSS.
(and maybe not.)

Check the corresponding sides' ratios be see if the two triangles really are similar.

The triangles are NOT similar!

A segment internal to a triangle and parallel to the base can't be three times as long as the base!

The other tutor is right -- since no angles are given, the only possible answer is SSS; but it clearly does not work with the measurements shown.
