Question 1106969: Hello. I need help solving this Pythagorean theorem question that I'm trying to solve.
The length of the longer leg of a right triangle is 2 ft longer than the length of the shorter leg X. The hypotenuse is 2 ft shorter than twice the length of the shorter leg. Write an equation in terms of X that represents the given relationship. Solve the equation to find the dimensions of each given shape.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The length of the longer leg of a right triangle is 2 ft longer than the length of the shorter leg X. The hypotenuse is 2 ft shorter than twice the length of the shorter leg. Write an equation in terms of X ,...
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Using lower-case instead of the upper-case:
Shorter Leg, x
Longer leg, x+2
Hypotenuse, 2x-2

You know the Pythagorean Theorem formula? If yes then just plug into where needed, and solve.
