Pythagoras said that the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the square root of the sums of the squares of the sides:
h = √a^2+b^2
You have one side = 6 and the other = 10
6 squared: 6*6 = 36
10 squared:10*10 = 100
36+100 = 136 and √136 = 11.66 is the length of the hypotenuse
