Consider the tent as a right
angled triangle.
Hypotenuse = 8 ft
Base of triangle = half
the base of the tent = 5 ft
Height of tent squared = Hypotenuse squared
- Base squared
Height^2 = 8^2 - 5^2
Height^2 = 64 - 25
Height^2 = 39
Height = square root 39
Height = 6.25 ft (2 decimal places)
