(i) x+-+y+=+13
(ii) 3x+%2B+2y+=+129
step 1 - multiply (i) by -3 to get
(iii) -3x+%2B+3y+=+-39
step 2 - add (ii) and (iii) to get
(iv) 5y+=+90
step 3 - divide by 4 to get
(v) y+=+18
so this means that
y+=+31
