L=5W ......eq.1

if the perimeter of the field is 960 feet, we have
2%28L%2BW%29=960
L%2BW=960%2F2
L%2BW=480 ..........eq.2

substitute L from eq.1
5W%2BW=480
6W=480
W=480%2F6
W=80

go to
L=5W ......eq.1, substitute W
L=5%2A80
L=400

the dimensions of the field are 400ft by 80ft
