Question 915868: the times required to service customers' cars at a repair shop are skewed to the right with a mean of 2.5 hours and a standard deviation of 0.75. what can be said about proportion of cars whose service time is either less than one hour or more than four hours?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
skewed right means the distribution 'tails off' on the right
That is to say there are more observations on the left side.
....
mean = 2.5 hours and sd = 0.75
what can be said about proportion of cars whose service time is either less than one hour or more than four hours?
p < 2SD from mean on the left vs p > 2SD from mean on the right
skewed right...likely there are proportionately more < 1hr
