You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What does 60! mean in statistics how do I solve 60!/58!(60-58)!
---------
60! is 60 factorial.
= 60*59*58*57*...1
-----------
60!/58! = 60*59*58*57...1/(58*57*56...1) = 60*59
---
(60-58)! = 2! = 2*1
-----
--> 60*59/2
= 1770
=============
PS That's not solving anything.
Equations are solved, eg, "solve for x"
That's just simplification or evaluation.

60%21%2F58%21%2860-58%29%21

60%21%2F%2858%212%21%29

means this long thing:

And then you cancel all that will cancel and you get this:

And all you have left is

%2860%2A59%29%2F%282%2A1%29

Then cancel the 2 into the 60

%28%22%22%5E30cross%2860%29%2A59%29%2F%28cross%282%29%2A1%29%22%22=%22%2230%2A59%22%22=%22%221770

That's the formula for the combinations of 68 things taken 58 at a time
C(60,58)

A much, much easier formula for combinations:

C(a,b) if b is larger than half of a, then subtract b from a. Then

For the numerator start with a and use b factors, each one less than the
preceding.
For the denominator start with b and use b factors, each one less than the
preceding.

So if you have C(60,58)

Since 58 is larger than half of 60, subtract 60-58 = 2.

Then you have C(60,2) and by the easier formula,

%2860%2A59%29%2F%282%2A1%29.
