I think you are saying that if you are given a pair of ordered pairs and a single coordinate (either or ) of a point on the same line that passes through the two given points, find the other coordinate.
Use the two-point form of an equation of a line:
where and are the coordinates of the given points.
Once you have substituted the known values, solve the equation for the remaining variable.
