Question 674781: PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A children’s theater found in a random survey that 65 customers bought one snack bar item, 40 bought two items, 26 bought three items, 14 bought four items, and 18 avoided the snack bar altogether. Find the expected number of snack bar items per customer. Round your answer to the nearest tenth. Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
Sorry, you only used 34 exclamation points. I don't really figure anyone is serious about needing help unless they use at least 35 exclamation points. Don't you think that
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seems much more needy and whiny than
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding...sort of.
Add up all of the snack bar items purchased, that is: 65 times 1 + 40 times 2 + ... and so on. Then add up the number of customers, 65 + 40 + 26 + 14 + 18.
Divide the number of snack bar items purchased by the number of customers. Round appropriately.
