Question 637016: - A local pizza parlor advertises that their average time for delivery of a pizza is
within 30 minutes of receipt of the order. The delivery time for a random sample of 64. Orders were recorded, with a sample mean of 34minutes and a standard deviation of 21 minutes.
(i) Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that the actual delivery time is larger than what is claimed by the pizza parlor? Use α = .05.
((ii) Test the hypothesis that Ha : μ = 30.
Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
PART (i)
H%5B0%5D: µ ≤ 30
H%5B1%5D: µ > 30
z Test
Test Statistic, z: 1.5238
Critical z: 1.6449
P-Value: 0.0638
Fail to Reject the Null Hypothesis because the p-value is greater than α = .05.
There is NO sufficient evidence to conclude that the actual delivery time is larger than what is claimed by the pizza parlor.
PART (ii)
H%5B0%5D: µ = 30
H%5B1%5D: µ ≠ 30
z Test
Test Statistic, z: 1.5238
Critical z: ±1.9600
P-Value: 0.1276
Fail to Reject the Null Hypothesis because the p-value is greater than α = .05. NOT significantly different from 30 minutes.
