Question 496031: what is the probability that in NEW YORK City, there are at least two people with the same number of hairs on the head.(assume the number of hairs on a persons head to be 1,00,000)?
Answer by richard1234(7193) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Assume that a person has no more than 8,000,000 hairs on his head. New York City has more than 8,000,000 people, so by Pigeonhole principle, two people have the same number of hairs, probability is 1.
