Question 463657: I have posted this problem a couple of times, but havent gotten a reply. this is what I have done so far. Does it look like im doing it right?
Time spent on the internet
given the bar graph below, create a grouped frequency distribution.
along the side of the graph are numbers from the bottom 0 to 9 at the top labeled hours per day.
along the bottom are the names barbara to 3, rosie to the 3, carlos 1, soon yi 6, scott 2, deborah 8, pat 4, cynthia 1.
ie, w=(l-s)/c
l-s=8-1=7
time spent from 8 deborah to 1 carlos and cynthia=class width.
class width=(largest data-smallest data)/number of classes
ie,w=(8-1)=7. divide into 4 classes, ie c=4
w=7/4=1.75
round 1.75 to 2.
Groups A,B,C,and D.
A:Cynthia,Carlos,Scott
B:Pat,Barbara,Rosie
C:Soon Yi
D:Deborah
And show them on a graph:
numbered up the side from the bottom 0-3.
listed in groups along the bottom 1-2,3-4,5-6,7-8
Please any input would be wonderful.
