Question 460448: Hi there, I'm having difficulties attempting to solve this problem:
A survey found that out of 1000 athletes, 200 were runners and 150 were developing knee problems. If being a runner and developing knee problems are dependent, then what is the least number of the 150 that were developing knee problems that could be expected to be runners?
Thanks,

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 200/1000=.2
150*.2=30 runners would be expected if they were independent.
31 is the least number of the 150 that were developing knee problems that could be expected to be runners if being a runner and developing knee problems are dependent.
