Question 360292: I do not see how the answer is 50%....when calculating the scores less than 100 with a mean of 100 and standard deviation of 20. I understand the rule and how to plot the numbers and I calculated the standard deviation for the left and right, but I still cannot see how the answer is 50%. Thanks

the mean (average) value is one indicator of the central tendency of a sample or population (median and mode are two others)

in a NORMALLY distributed population , half of the population (50%) will be above the mean and half will be below it
