Question 204892: Two cards are drawn without replacement from an ordinary deck of 52 playing cards. What are the odds in favor of drawing two queens?
I am confused by this... i would assume it to be 4 out of 42 because there are 4 queens n a deck of 52, but my options are A) 1:220 B)1:168 C) 1:221 D)220:1

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1st draw: 4/52
2nd draw: 3/51 (because 1 queen card has been drawn, so there are only 3 queen cards out of 51 cards)
so,the probability drawing 2 queen cards without replacement:
= 4%2F52%2A3%2F51
= 1%2F13%2A1%2F17
= 1:221 (C)
