: P = 2.5V - 500 (P = profit and V = Vistors)--- what does 500 represent?
Using this equation to predict thenumber of visitors (V) based on the probablity of rain (R) V = 600 - 500R --- again what does 500 represent and what does "R" have to do with it?
the next question is if the probabilit of rain is 25% what is the expected profit? HOW DO I FIGURE THIS OUT please?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P = 2.5V - 500 (P = profit and V = Visitors)--- what does 500 represent?
Since the 500 is negative it means there is a debt of $500 if there
are no visitors.
--------------------------
Using this equation to predict the number of visitors (V) based on the probablity of rain (R)
V = 600 - 500R --- again what does 500 represent and what does "R" have to do with it?
R is the number of times it rains.
Since the 500 is negative it means there will be 500 fewer visitors
if there is a 100% likelyhood of rain.
---------------------------
the next question is if the probability of rain is 25% what is the expected
profit?
P(0.25) = 600 -500(0.25) = 600-125 = $375
