Question 1209941: A bag contains 5 red balls and 3 green balls. A ball is drawn and then replaced
before a ball is drawn again. Draw a tree diagram to show all the possible
outcomes. Find the probability that:
a) two green balls are drawn.
b) the first ball is red and the second is green.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since we are replacing the ball, the probabilities do not change when
we draw the second ball.

P(Red) = 5/8, P(Green) = 3/8

Notice that the sum of the probabilities of the far right is 1:

25%2F64%2B15%2F64%2B15%2F64%2B9%2F64=64%2F64=1

a) two green balls are drawn

P%28GG%29=expr%283%2F8%29%2Aexpr%283%2F8%29=9%2F64

b) the first ball is red and the second is green.

P%28RG%29=expr%285%2F8%29%2Aexpr%283%2F8%29=15%2F64
