You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A small town has a population of 3200 people.
30% of the townspeople speak Italian=>+3200%2A0.30=960+townspeople speak Italian
20% speak French=> 3200%2A0.20=640 townspeople speak French
360 people speak both Italian and French
so, 960+people in the town speak Italian and 360 of these people speak both Italian and French

to find the amount of people that speak only Italian, subtract 360 from 960+
960-360=+600 people that speak only Italian

b. What percent of the townspeople speak only Italian?

x=18.75%
answer: 18.75% percent of the townspeople speak only Italian
