Question 1197297: the probability that a bombers hit its target on any particular run is 80%. if three bombers send out after the same target , what then is the probability that at least one of the three bombers will hit the target? Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! this would be 1 minus the probability that none of the bombers will hit the target.
if each bomber has the same probability to hit the target, then 1 minus the probability that none of of the bombers will hit the target is equal to 1 minus .2 * .2 * .2 = .992.
that's the probability that at least one of the bombers will hit the target.
