Question 1176565: In a group of 800 married couples, what is the chance that there will be two couples with the same first names, e.g. both couples names are Joe & Mary? Answer by Solver92311(821) (Show Source):
Impossible to calculate such a probability. There is no reliable data on the number of different first names of people, not to mention the variations across different nationalities and ethnic groups. Then there is the added complication of same-sex marriages. If your instructor actually requires a specific answer to this problem, s/he has her/his head up her/his fundament.
