Question 115344: I need help with this PLEASE!!!!
I can't figure out how to do this in formula
A can company reports that the number of machine breakdown in an eight hour shift has a mean of 1.5. Find the probability that there will be (i) exactly 2 breakdowns; (ii) fewer than 2 breakdowns; (iii) no breakdowns in 3 consecutive shifts. Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The problem is binomial. Having only the mean of the distribution
does not establish the probability of a single even.
