Question 1148733: A statistics professor plans classes so carefully that the lengths of her classes are uniformly distributed between 50.0 and 60.0 minutes. Find the probability that a given class period runs greater than 50.5 minutes.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

This probability is the ratio of the lengths of two time intervals.

One time interval is 10 minutes long, from 50.0 minutes to 60.0 minutes.

The other time interval is 9.5 minutes long, from 50.5 minutes to 60.0 minutes.

Therefore, the probability value is P = 9.5%2F10 = 0.95.
