10 do not have gray eyes
6+10 = 16 people total at the lecture

There are 6 people we want (that have gray eyes) out of 16 total, giving the fraction 6/16. This fraction reduces to 3/8 after you divide both parts of the fraction by the GCF 2

Answer: 3/8

Note: 3/8 = 0.375 in decimal form and it is equivalent to 37.5% in percent form
