Let A = event that contractor wins the first contract and B = event that contractor wins the second contract.
What is the probability that he will win neither contract?
Upper P left-parenthesis ModifyingAbove A With bar and ModifyingAbove B With bar right-parenthesis =
-Very lost on this one, I know they must not be independent because that formula hasn't worked for me. Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If I understand the question, it is the probability he does not get either contract, and there is nothing to suggest that they are not independent. Indeed, the probability is the same for both.
0.55*0.55=0.3025
Remember, the probability of not winning is 1- probability of winning.
