Question 1082447: A basketball player makes 80% of his free throws. We set him on the line of free-throw and informed him to shoot free throws until he misses. Let the random variable X be the number of free throws taken by the player until he misses.
Assuming that his shots are independent, find the probability that he will make 4 shots
before he misses.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If he makes 80% of his free throws, then the probability of making 4 in a row is:
.80^4=.4096
Assuming he misses his 5th shot:
.4096 x .2=0.08192 probability of making four free throws in a row before missing. ☺☺☺☺
