Question 1061797: hi everyone, I'm a bit stumped on this probability question, I'm new to it and haven't been too bad as of yet. I got this question which I think I know the answer to but not sure as I don't know about darts
The probability of a darts player hitting a bullseye is 0.15
What is the probability of him missing the bullseye?

if the probability of hitting the bullseye is .15, then the probability of missing the bullseye is 1 - .15 = .85

Both probabilities add up to 1,
because we are 100% certain
that either the bullseye will be it or it will not be hit.
(It has to be one of the two; there is no third option).
