the probability of getting a head on the second toss is 1/2.

the probability of getting a head on the third toss is 1/2.

the probability of getting a tail on the first toss and a head on the second toss and a head on the third toss is 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2.

that would be equal to 1/8.

the possible combinations are:

HHH
HHT
HTH
HTT
TTT
TTH
THT
THH *****

H represents head.
T represents tail.

there are 8 possible combinations.
only 1 of them is THH.
